PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Authorities have arrested a suspect they believe may have been a second person involved in a fatal shooting in 2022.

Kaesha Green, 41, is facing one charge of second-degree murder for the killing of Mohamed Shaani on March 27, 2022. Her arrest comes two weeks after police announced the arrest of 28-year-old Justin Ortega-Mejia, who faces the same charge for the crime.

Portland police say Shaani was shot several times near his car at NE 82nd Avenue and Milton Street.

Community members at a vigil for Shaani in 2022 said he fled violence to live peacefully in America. He was the father of eight children and was working as an Uber driver.
