A small plane made an emergency landing Thursday afternoon on State Road 407 near Interstate 95, causing traffic delays in Brevard County.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, the plane landed due to an engine failure.

The pilot of the plane is not injured, BCSO said.

There was a vehicle involved in the incident, according to BCSO.

It's unclear if anyone in the vehicle was injured. WESH 2 has reached out for more details.

As of 2:05 p.m., all lanes were closed, including the off-ramp, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

BCSO has since opened parts of the eastbound lanes, but the westbound lanes are still closed.
