Just 212 votes now separate Patrick McFall and Troy Daniels in Loveland’s mayoral race, as Larimer County election officials continue processing ballots ahead of the state’s eight-day cure period.
As of 8 p.m. Wednesday, McFall had received 13,475 votes to Daniels’ 13,263, out of 26,738 ballots cast, a margin of about 0.79%. That puts the race outside the range that would trigger an automatic recount under Colorado law, according to Larimer County Clerk Tina Harris.
“The statute requires a recount if the difference between the highest number of votes cast and the next highest number is less than or equal to one-half of one percent of the leading candidate’s total,” Harris said
