BEREA — Paul DePodesta is heading back to Major League Baseball.

DePodesta, who has been the Browns chief strategy officer since January, 2016, is being hired as the Colorado Rockies head of baseball operations, a league source confirmed for the Beacon Journal. The Athletic was the first to report the move.

The Browns have gone 56-99-1 in the regular season since DePodesta was hired on Jan. 5, 2016. His first two seasons with the team, they were a combined 1-31, including 0-16 in 2017. Buy Cleveland Browns tickets
