DAVIS, W.Va. (WBOY) — One person is dead and another injured after a mining accident happened in Tucker County Thursday.

Tucker County Ambulance Authority President Dennis Filler confirmed to media partners that the accident happened at the Mountain View Mine owned by Mettiki Coal. The mine is located along Route 48 northeast of Davis.

The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6. Details regarding what kind of accident it was have not been released, but Filler confirmed that at least one person was killed and another was injured.
