AUSTIN (KXAN) - As Texas State football stepped into October, there was an earned sense of confidence. The Bobcats were expected to compete for a Sun Belt conference championship, and are coming off back-to-back eight-win seasons.
But then, a harsh reality check came.
The Bobcats suffered three straight heartbreaking losses to start conference play, just to get blown out at the end of the month, and now sit at 0-4 in Sun Belt play.
"[We're] getting the confidence, getting the swagger where it needs to be to be able to go on the road and get a win versus a good team," said Bobcats head coach GJ Kinne on his team's energy ahead of their matchup against Louisiana.
