EXCLUSIVE: Two Indian cinema powerhouses are teaming up: Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to star in the next movie from filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli , which he is writing and directing.

Chopra Jonas will star alongside Mahesh Babu.

In addition to distribution in India, the movie, which is currently untitled, is in talks for U.S. distribution with Variance.

Rajamouli’s 2022 feature, RRR won an Oscar for Best Original song for the tune “Naatu Naatu”. That movie followed a fearless warrior who on a perilous mission comes face to face with a steely cop serving British forces in pre-independent India. RRR, reportedly the fourth highest grossing Indian release ever, grossed over $166M at the global box office.
