INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- A student was stabbed in the shoulder by another student Thursday morning at a high school in Inglewood.

According to the Inglewood Police Department, four students at Morningside High School were involved in some sort of physical altercation.

"One student used a pocket knife and stabbed another student in the shoulder, causing a non-life-threatening puncture wound," read a statement from police.

The student who was stabbed was taken to the hospital and another student was taken into custody.

No further details were released. The incident remains under investigation.
