(ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Outback Steakhouse is scaling back its footprint nationwide after a series of closures last month. The restaurant chain’s parent company announced in its latest earnings report that 21 Outback locations were closed in October, with 22 more scheduled to shut down over the next four years.
The closures come as part of what the company calls a “comprehensive turnaround strategy,” aimed at improving operations and competing more effectively in a tough restaurant market.
