MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Chestnut Ridge Church has opened a new inclusive playground on Cheat Road in Cheat Lake, designed for children of all ages and abilities.
The playground, funded by donations from more than 300 households, features a jungle gym, slides and educational tools aiming to provide a welcoming space for all children.
"I mean, there's always a need for great playgrounds and particularly for the greater Cheat Lake area," Chestnut Ridge Church pastor Josh Rhodes said. "Our goal was to create a space for all ages and all abilities."
Ridge Park, as the playground is called, includes features such as a merry-go-round and a set of swings designed to accommodate children in wheelchairs, allowing them to play alongside their siblings and friends.
