MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins began reshaping their roster on Thursday with a series of moves.

The club outrighted five players off of the 40-man roster, including former starting infielder Jose Miranda , making them all free agents. Along with Miranda, pitchers Thomas Hatch , Michael Tonkin , Génesis Cabrera and Anthony Misiewicz were outrighted, while reliever Cody Laweryson was claimed off of waivers by the Angels.

Along with those moves, the Twins reinstated outfielder Alan Roden from the 60-day injured list. He is expected to be a full go for Spring Training.

With the moves, Minnesota now stands at 33 players on its 40-man roster. The Twins have several prospects, including No. 5 Kendry Rojas, No. 8 Gabriel Gonzalez, and No. 9 Connor Prielipp, who must be added to th
