FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KTFA) — Woods and Cavanaugh Elementary Schools were named in the Arkansas Department of Education's Division of Elementary and Secondary Education list of Reward Schools.
Woods Elementary received a Performance Award and Cavanaugh received a Growth Award. Both schools were in the Top 6-10% of public schools in their respective category.
“I am extremely proud of the outstanding work from educators and staff at both schools,” Superintendent Martin Mahan said. “The awards recognize their commitment to excellence and dedication to their students.”
Both schools will receive a monetary reward for their achievement. Woods will be getting $23,025.42 and Cavanaugh will be getting $13,074.65.
