ALLIANCE ‒ While Patrolman Ronald Hooks was pulling into the parking lot of Tractor Supply, he couldn't believe his eyes.

The report was true: A man was riding a large bull.

"I have so many questions," Hooks told the man as he walked toward him, the encounter captured Nov. 6 on Hooks' police body camera.

All of the good-natured fun was recorded and posted on Facebook by the Alliance Police Department. Police said John Welsh of Palmerton, Pennsylvania, was advertising for an upcoming bull-riding event in Canton.

Welsh told Hooks that the bull's name is "Gus."

Hooks petted Gus, and later, Welsh helped the officer climb up to sit atop the large gray bull, outside the store.
