A cold front headed for the eastern U.S. could bring Western North Carolina's coldest temperatures so far this season, accompanied by the potential for snow.
After a largely mild week in the region, the National Weather Service forecasts a 60% chance of rain on Saturday, Nov. 8, followed immediately by plummeting temperatures beginning Sunday night, Nov. 9, with even colder weather expected Monday, Nov. 10.
