LOS ANGELES — You're not having déjà vu. Rockstar Games delayed highly anticipated video game Grand Theft Auto VI again.
The sixth installment of the cult-classic video game series, originally set to come out in fall 2025 but delayed to May 2026, is now set to release this time next year.
"We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve," Rockstar Games said in a statement .
The new official release date is set for Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026.
If released when currently planned, the game would be available almost three years after the trailer debuted in December 2023.
