The National Hockey League is investigating Ottawa Senators forward Arthur Kaliyev after new information regarding alleged gambling issues surfaced earlier this week.
League sources confirmed to Postmedia on Thursday that the NHL’s head office is taking another look at gambling allegations against Kaliyev after a New York Post report on Monday.
The source also said the league has yet to find any wrongdoing, but will continue to look at the case.
Lauren Mochen, Kaliyev’s model ex-girlfriend, told the Post that the Senators forward owes her and others around the NHL thousands of dollars. She also told the newspaper that she filed a report with the police in her hometown in Michigan and is considering pressing charges against Kaliyev.
Mochen accused Kaliyev of owing her more than $50,000
