GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Anakeesta announced a $100 million investment in park upgrades to its site in Gatlinburg. The five-year plan is called "Making More Magic" and will reimagine its current Firefly Village and Treetop Skywalk. This is the park's largest expansion yet.

"It's been years of planning," Austin Martin, Anakeesta's director of communications, said. "There are a lot of crowds and we really want to make sure that we're giving our guests the best experience when they come to Gatlinburg."

Martin said the basis of who they are is relaxation. That's why they made the decision to replace the current chairlift, which takes 20 minutes to reach the top. The brand-new lift will only take four minutes, making the ride more efficient and convenient, according to Martin.
