Just under 400 Weld County voters as of Wednesday may not have their ballots counted due to a signature discrepancy or no signature at all.
Due to errors such as a voter signatures not matching, 395 Weld voters are at risk of not having their ballot counted in Tuesday’s coordinated election. These voters were put on a cure list and notified via mail or email, if one was on file with the clerk and recorder’s office.
According to Chief Deputy Clerk Rudy Santos, “Weld County voters rallied” and exceeded his Monday predictions with a 33.5% voter turnout. Turnout was on track to be the lowest in the county since 2020, but with an Election Day surge, more voters exercised their right to vote than during the 2021 coordinated election, which saw a turnout of just 31.3%.
