Vietnam has been hit by one of Asia's most powerful tropical storms this year as Typhoon Kalmaegi has made landfall battering the country with winds of 148kph. The typhoon claimed the lives of 114 people in the Philippines leaving another 127 people missing.
The typhoon caused widespread destruction in the Philippines as floodwater submerged roads, winds flattened homes and streets were buried in debris. Mely Saberon, 52, from Talisay, a city in the Filipino province of Cebu spoke of the damage Typhoon Kalmaegi brought to the archipelago.
