When Tillamook announced earlier this week that it would be selling a limited edition “butter-mayo spread made from Tillamook Butter and Kewpie Mayo,” the grilled cheese-loving public reacted with joy, awe and a little mania.
“How can you, in good conscience, take my hard-earned money and get me hooked on a ‘limited edition’ product?” wrote Tiff Lakes Karacia on Facebook . “Anywho, I hope you take Apple Pay.”
“Gross! Where can I immediately purchase it?” said Sarah Christine.
“Need. Now!” said Jennifer Piraro Spees, in another comment.
“I’ll take a bucket,” said Josh Butler in another.
But alas, many people who were initially thrilled about the launch of the perfect outside-of-grilled cheese spread were disappointed when the product launched online Thursday.
