SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Around 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, Springfield Firefighters rushed over to Newhouse Street to battle a garage fire.

The garage was completely burned down into a charred rubble. Officials also said that there were also several cars involved in the fire, but crews manage to knock down the flames before it was able to spread into the home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
