SALT LAKE CITY — After Mia Bailey’s parents were found dead in their Washington County home in June 2024, Bailey led authorities on an overnight search before finally surrendering. On Thursday, Bailey pleaded guilty to the crime in court.
Bailey stood before 5th District Court Judge Keith C. Barnes and entered a plea of “guilty and mentally ill” for two counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated assault.
As a result of the plea deal, the third count was lowered from an aggravated attempted murder charge, and six other charges for discharging a firearm were dropped in Bailey’s case.
KSL TV previously reported on the day of Bailey’s arrest, when she allegedly admitted to the crime , stating she would “do it again. I hate them.”
A protective order was filed against Bailey
