More than 46,000 people are registered for food stamps in Westmoreland County. Many have been uncertain about where their next meals are coming from for a week now.

The Blessing Box started out as a stand to sell chicken eggs.
“My husband built this three weeks ago for us to sell extra eggs from our chickens,” Stacy James, of Latrobe, said. “We felt very strongly God say, ‘No, you're going to feed people.’”
James and her family live near Marguerite Road in Latrobe. They’ve kept tabs on the makeshift food bank for a week.
“We bought milk, butter, eggs and bread. That’s what we wanted to start with,”
