Baramulla, Nov 6: Baramulla Police launched Jammu and Kashmir’s first digital safety application aimed at ensuring swift emergency response and real-time public security.
Titled “Baramulla Safety App,” the platform allows residents to send instant SOS alerts that reach police within five seconds, enabling immediate tracking and action by duty officers.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Minga Sherpa said the app bridges the communication gap between citizens and authorities, allowing quick police response during distress.
Over 6,000 residents, including migrants, non-local workers and students, have already registered.
The app connects all police stations under a central monitoring system supervised by SHOs, DOs and the Police Control Room. It currently covers 15 enrolment categories, focus
