HARTFORD, Conn. — The more than 390,000 people living on SNAP benefits in Connecticut can now breathe a sigh of relief, after a federal judge in Rhode Island ruled that the administration of President Donald Trump must fully cover SNAP benefits for the month of November.

It's news Charles Oliver was shocked but delighted to hear, after he said his girlfriend, who is retired because of a disability, has had to rely on these benefits.

"She's getting SNAP a certain amount every month. She said, 'Nobody's getting it right now.'" Oliver said. "They've got to hurry up and give it to them."
