LIHUE (HawaiiNewsNow) - Federal agents arrested 44 people during raids Wednesday on Kauai , with officials saying two are suspected associates of Tren de Aragua (TdA), a Venezuelan gang known for drugs and human trafficking.
Multiple federal agencies executed six search warrants at residences and one business. The homes were in Kapaa, Kalaheo and a business in Lihue.
Agencies involved included Homeland Security, the FBI, the Coast Guard, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
