A bicyclist was hit by a car and killed Thursday night in Washington Township, Gloucester County, officials said.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. on Black Horse Pike near Berlin Cross Keys Road. The cyclist died at the scene, officials said.

The driver stayed at the scene.

The southbound lanes of Black Horse Pike were closed because of the crash.
