ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Teachers and staff in one Metro East school district continued to work without a contract.

The Cahokia Federation of Teachers said Thursday was day 59 of working without a deal in place.

The last contract for teachers and staff in the Cahokia Heights School District expired last summer, and the district and union continued to struggle to come to a deal.

The union said sticking points remained, including better wages and sick leave policies.
