Bonfire weekend sees a person searching for advice on burns every 30 seconds on the NHS website
The NHS has issued a warning ahead of the Guy Fawkes weekend , urging everyone attending fireworks displays to "stay safe" and providing guidance on how to recognise when a burn requires professional treatment.
They highlighted: "Over bonfire night weekends, the NHS website information on burns and scalds gets about one visit every 30 seconds. If you need it, you can find first aid advice and information on when to seek treatment for burns on the NHS website."
Every year, thousands of people end up in A&E with firework-related injuries during Guy Fawkes celebrations. Fireworks, firecrackers and even sparklers can reach temperatures high enough to cause serious damage to human skin
