The operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi were disrupted on Friday due to a technical snag, delaying over 100 flights. All major airlines, including IndiGo, Air India, and Spice Jet, faced delays due to air traffic congestion.
An advisory issued by the IGI read: "Due to a technical issue with the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, flight operations at IGIA (Indira Gandhi International Airport) are experiencing delays. Their team is actively working with all stakeholders, including DIAL (Delhi International Airport Limited), to resolve it at the earliest."
The efforts to resolve the issue are underway, the advisory added. All major airlines too issued an advisory to passengers, regretting the inconvenience caused.
