The National Institutes of Health has awarded a Phase 1 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant to two companies affiliated with Innosphere in Fort Collins.
The grant totalling $301,299 will assist the companies as they develop an at-home hormone test to be used in the treatment of perimenopause and menopause.
Burst Diagnostics Inc., an Innosphere graduate company, in a joint venture with FemmeLoop, will develop a low-cost, at-home hormone test and integrated digital health platform to provide women with insights into perimenopause and menopause. Perimenopause is a multiyear period between a woman’s reproductive years and menopause.
