Adelaide is preparing to host its 93rd annual Christmas Pageant, with more than 300,000 people expected to attend tomorrow night.
Road closures in the central business district are scheduled to commence as early as midnight, with some restrictions remaining in place until 2pm tomorrow.
The pageant route will begin at the intersection of South Terrace and King William Street, proceeding north towards Victoria Square, then onto Pulteney Street, and west along North Terrace, culminating at Rundle Mall.
Logistical preparations are underway, involving the transportation of over 80 floats from Stardust Castle to the city centre.
"It makes it an incredible privilege to shut down an international city for one morning," organiser Brian Gilbertson said.
