Since 1971, the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission has been working to help locals who are homeless, hungry and hurting by providing hot meals, shelter, medical care, clothing, counseling, vocational services and more.

But holidays can be an extremely trying time, especially for those separated from family who still want to enjoy some semblance of a traditional celebration.

To that end, each Thanksgiving, the mission offers traditional holiday meals to the hungry and unhoused and those with nowhere else to go. Anyone is invited to join. These offerings are in addition to the more than 900 meals served daily by the mission every year.
