Riley Schultz’s overtime game-winner lifted Livingston past Hillsborough 4-3 in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Group 4 quarterfinal round in Livingston.

Schultz scored all four of fourth-seeded Livingston’s goals to give her team a crucial postseason victory.

Meanwhile, all three of fifth-seeded Hillsborough’s goals came from different players: Madelynn Taras, Natalia Simcak and Victoria Byra in that order.

After Schultz put Livingston up 3-1 in the third quarter, Hillsborough fought its way back with Byra eventually tying the game in the fourth quarter.

With Schultz’s game-winner in the extra period, Livingston (13-4-1) advances to face top-seeded Phillipsburg in the semifinal round Nov. 10 with a start time to be announced.

Hillsborough finishes the season at 13-8.
