The road to Ford Field takes a turn Friday night when the surging Byron Center Bulldogs (7-3) travel to McCamley Field to face the undefeated Portage Central Mustangs (10-0) in a Division 2 district championship showdown.
The matchup features last year’s state runner-up Bulldogs, who have caught fire with six consecutive victories, including last week’s dominant 47-6 district semifinal win over Portage Northern behind standouts Tate Bainbridge, Aiden VanDam and Cameron Payne.
