Amid doubts looming over his participation in the ICC’s Executive Board Meeting, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Dubai on Thursday. Earlier, it was learned that he might give it a miss due to ‘domestic political issues’ and will be replaced by PCB CEO Sumair Syed. However, as reported by the Times of India, Naqvi reached Dubai right before the commencement of the meet, at 3:00 PM IST.

While the official ICC agenda focuses on administrative and financial matters, the Asia Cup trophy controversy — a lingering issue between India and Pakistan — could likely surface during the meeting. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to raise the matter, potentially sparking a tense exchange between the two cricketing boards.
