SILOAM SPRINGS -- John Brown University never trailed in its men's basketball game against Arkansas Baptist Thursday night at Bill George Arena.
JBU won the contest 94-41 and was dominant in all categories, and four Golden Eagles scored in double-figures. Trae Oetting collected a double-double scoring 21 points along with 12 rebounds. Donovan Lovelace scored 17 points, Carter Carbonell scored 11 points and Marko Malekinusic scored 10 points.
"We played really well and were locked in all night," JBU coach Jason Beschta said. "We guarded really well, and it helped that we were hitting shots early. It is a good sign that we can score and defend like we have against a really good team."
Arkansas Baptist is 1-2, but their other loss came to Arkansas-Little Rock (Division I) 92-63. The Golden
