BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Across the nation next week, people will pay tribute to those who have served our country.

On Saturday, Nov. 8, vehicles from the Bowling Green Public Works, along with dozens of other entities, will line up for the Bowling Green Veterans Day Parade.

“They have to stay away from their families; they have to sometimes make the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom,” Austin Jones, the operations maintenance technician two for Bowling Green Public Works, said.

Andy Souza, the executive director for Bowling Green Public Works, is one of five veterans from the department who will drive a float in the parade this year.
