The Atlanta Braves picked up the $7 million contract option for 2026 on second baseman Ozzie Albies on Thursday.
Three-time All-Star was secured at a bargain price and will make $7 million for the fourth straight season. The Braves also hold a $7 million option for the 2027 campaign.
Albies had 16 homers, 74 RBIs and 14 steals in 157 games in 2025 while batting a career-low .240.
Albies, 28, made 667 plate appearances, marking the fifth time he has had 660 or more in his nine seasons with the Braves.
Albies has twice hit 30 or more homers and twice topped 100 RBIs during his career.
Atlanta also declined options on right-handers Pierce Johnson ($7 million) and Tyler Kinley ($5 million).
Johnson, 34, received a $250,000 buyout after going 3-3 with a 3.05 ERA in 65 relief appearances.
