Pune : Amid the political uproar over a controversial land deal involving 40 acres in Mundhwa, Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Thursday clarified that the State Government is taking the matter seriously and assured that “no guilty person will be spared.” He appealed to the public and political parties to refrain from making assumptions until the inquiry is completed.
The controversy erupted after allegations surfaced that the government suffered a loss of Rs 5.89 crore in stamp duty in a land transaction involving Amedia Company and Parth Pawar, son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Based on a complaint lodged by Sub-Registrar Santosh Hingane, a case has been registered at Bavdhan Police Station against Sheetal Tejwani, Digvijay Patil, and Ravindra Taru.
