Stags win back-to-back districts; St. Francis, Cadillac, Joburg take titles

KINGSLEY — Kingsley won back-to-back district championships with a commanding sweep over Manton 25-19, 25-17, 25-12.

“We learned to trust each other while we played,” Kingsley senior Sarah Wooer said. “We started out nervous, but kept it up and got the win. We are going to continue working hard at practice. We have to come out strong (in the regional semifinal). We learned tonight we can’t come out tight or nervous.”
