OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - A former high school band director pleaded not guilty to possession of child pornography in Outagamie County court on Thursday afternoon.
James Neujahr also waived his right to a preliminary hearing. He faces 20 counts of possession of child pornography and posted his $25,000 cash bond ahead of his court appearance on Thursday.
According to a criminal complaint, Appleton police officers found about 2000 child porn files on an external hard drive that belonged to Neujahr. He allegedly told police that he had been collecting child porn for a long time.
Neujahr and his lawyer didn't answer several questions from Local 5 News after the hearing on Thursday afternoon.
Neujahr had been the band director at Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton. School off
