Karr extended its winning streak to 23 games in Thursday night’s, 35-14, victory over Rummel at the Shrine on Airline. The Cougars also secured their second straight undefeated regular season with the win and are now back-to-back Catholic League champions.

“Yeah we’re district champs but we’ve got to clean some stuff up,” Karr coach Brice Brown said. “If we keep playing like this deep in the playoffs, we’ll get beat. Rummel woke us up a little bit.”

Brown’s Cougars (10-0, 7-0) saw their largest deficit of the season just four minutes into the game. Karr had scored first in all nine of its matchups, but Rummel’s Jaden Terrance got the opening score Thursday night on a 10-yard run for a, 7-0, lead.
