Loaded with size and experience, the McGregor Panthers began this season with OFSAA aspirations.
They’re one win away from getting there.
The top-seeded Panthers swept the Lambton Central Lancers 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-12) in the LKSSAA senior boys AA volleyball final Thursday at McGregor.
“They’re playing really, really well right now,” Panthers coach Al Hendrie said. “They’re peaking at the right time.”
Next is a visit to Essex Thursday for the SWOSSAA final. The winner goes to the OFSAA championship Nov. 20-22 in Orillia.
The Panthers’ roster is filled with Grade 12s. With so many set to leave after this season, they’re playing with an urgency to make their last year count.
