MENALLEN TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
At least two people are facing charges after a police pursuit ended with a crash in Menallen Township, Fayette County.
State police said the incident began just before 10:30 a.m. Thursday, when they responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. Advertisement
Troopers said they saw the vehicle traveling on State Route 51 and tried to pull it over, but the vehicle kept going at a high rate of speed.
Investigators also said the occupants were throwing multiple items out of the vehicle while police pursued it.
The vehicle later struck a utility pole and a fire hydrant before it stopped.
Police also said a woman who was a passenger dropped multiple items as she was getting out of the vehicle. Those items were seized as suspected drugs and paraphernalia.
