Adam Sandler will be the recipient of the Chairman’s Award at the Palm Springs International Film Awards, set to take place on Jan. 3 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The awards presentation is held on the second night of the annual desert film festival, which takes place from Jan. 2 to Jan. 11.

Sandler will receive the award for his performance in Noah Baumbach’s “Jay Kelly,” starring George Clooney and Laura Dern. Additional cast members for “Jay Kelly” include Emily Mortimer, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Josh Hamilton, Alba Rohrwacher, Nicôle Lecky, Thaddea Graham, Louis Partridge, Jamie Demetriou and Patsy Ferran.
