Uttarkashi police celebrated the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram through singing it together at all the police stations, police and posts spread across the district.

The senior officers of the district police said that the event had been organised under the direction of the superintendent of police Kamlesh Upadhyay not only to honour the historical legacy of the national song but also to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and social responsibility in the police force.
