SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – KRUE Events hosted a community food giveaway at their restaurant location in Downtown Shreveport to provide free meals to those in need.
The executive chef and managing partner for KRUE Events, Kayleigh Oliver, said her team started as early as 10 am to prepare for this big day.
"Today, we're prepared to give out between 250 and 300 meals. We did red beans and rice, chicken, and cornbread. We wanted to provide a meal that was filling and filled with love," Oliver said.
