Allison and Ben Stuart opened Dovetail Cellars on Sept. 5 in the small brick building east of Providence Academy at 404 E. Evergreen Blvd. The tasting room is housed in what used to be a kindergarten. It’s currently owned and managed by The Historic Trust.
The tasting room aims to be “Vancouver’s community winery,” said co-owner and vintner Ben Stuart, 50. Stuart makes the wines sold at the new tasting room with grapes from Eastern Washington. He said his intention is to make wine accessible in an atmosphere designed for relaxed socializing.
