The National Zoological Park (NZP), popularly known as the Delhi Zoo, is set to reopen for visitors from November 8, following a temporary closure due to avian influenza detection earlier this year.
According to zoo authorities, all necessary safety and preventive measures will be strictly implemented upon reopening to ensure the health and safety of both visitors and animals.
The zoo had been closed to the public on August 30, 2025, after a positive case of avian influenza virus was confirmed in the water bird aviary on August 28. During the closure, the NZP followed all biosafety and surveillance protocols laid down by the competent authorities.
